Jetstar Asia and L3 Commercial Training Solutions (L3 CTS) announced the launch of a new Jetstar Asia Airways Cadet Pilot Training Programme to develop high caliber students into professional pilots for the airline.
Successful applicants will undertake a six-month ground school training in Singapore with Revion Ground School before commencing flight training in New Zealand.
The first course is planned to start in mid-2018 and move to New Zealand in late 2018. Cadets will undertake their flight training on L3 CTS’ latest-generation aircraft and simulators at the purpose-built Training Centre in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Upon successful completion, they will then proceed on to A320 type-rating with Jetstar Asia. Type rating certification is the additional training required for commercial pilots to fly a certain aircraft type, over and above the initial license.
